Aspendale Gardens

Aspendale Gardens is a residential suburb 26 km south-east of Melbourne, triangular in shape, immediately east of the bayside suburb of Aspendale. It is bounded by the Mordialloc Creek on its north and by Edithvale Road on its east.

Aspendale Gardens was part of the Carrum Swamp, and the Edithvale wetland reserve is found at its southern extremity. The suburb was developed mostly during the 1990s and it has a primary school (2001) (665 pupils, 2014), a community centre, retirement village (2005) and a local shopping centre. In addition to the wetland reserve there is also a linear park along its boundary with Aspendale.
