Mount Dandenong is a tourist and residential area in the Dandenong Ranges, 35 km east of Melbourne. On its western side is Mount Dandenong (633 metres), the highest peak in the ranges, offering a clear view to Melbourne and the Macedon Ranges north-west of Melbourne.
